EVERYDAY GLOWY MAKEUP

Hi, I’m Meg and I’m Assistant Manager at Pure Emporium.

I often get asked what I do to get my skin looking so glowy. So, I thought I’d share a little breakdown of my everyday makeup routine and what products I use.

Working at Pure Emporium, I’m lucky enough to have first-hand access to all of the Jane Iredale products. Over the years, I have trialled and tested almost all of them on myself and my lovely clients and I can honestly say that I have fallen in love with them. I’d never use anything else.

If you haven’t heard of Jane Iredale before, it’s a Mineral Based Skincare Makeup Brand. The brand was created and introduced into the industry in 1994 and ever since then, it has developed into a well-known and loved brand. Jane, the founder, wanted to create products that can perform without harmful toxins. Products that can strengthen skin with beneficial botanicals. Products that can bring out your absolute best. She definitely did that. Jane Iredale is in partner with dermatologists, plastic surgeons, aestheticians and makeup artists to create skin-loving formulas that achieve beautiful results, so you don’t have to choose between the skin you want and the look you love.

This is the Makeup brand that I used on my skin. EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Here’s a breakdown;

Primer –

There is not a single day that I can go without a primer. I use the Smooth Affair Facial Primer & Brightener. The primer helps to prep my skin to ensure that my makeup goes on easier and lasts a lot longer. For more mature skins, it will help to maintain the skin's youthful appearance and minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines. The name of the product is a big-giveaway, but it will also make your skin look a lot more radiant and glowy. This is a key step in my routine.

Concealer –

I then go in with a concealer. The Circle/Delete Concealer. This is always placed under my eyes, to hide any dark circles and also over any skin imperfection or breakouts that might appear every now and again. There are 4 different shades to choose from. I have the lightest duo as I am naturally fair. Starting with the darker shade in the compact, I blend this over any breakouts and over the dark circles of my eyes. Then, only under my eyes, I’ll go in with the lightest shade. This is to brighten and lighten this area. I find this makes me look much more awake. This product is a great one when considering skin care. It includes so many key ingredients.

-          Moringa Seed Oil - Moisturises and conditions skin, it provides antioxidant protection. It will also soothe and calm the areas.

-          Laminaria Ochroleuca Extract - Repairs UV damage, moisturises, and provides bacterial protection.

-          Green Tea Leaf Extract – Calms, protects and provides bacterial protection. (this is great when applied over breakouts.

Foundation –

For foundation, I like something light and natural. I use the Purepressed Base Mineral Foundation. This product is AMAZING! It’s a foundation, powder, concealer and SPF all in one! It is a buildable product, so it can be used as a sheer coverage or layered to be medium-full coverage. It is super lightweight and breathable. Your skin will love it!

Contour –

This next product is such an easy one to use. It’s a trio. It’s got a bronzer, blusher and a highlight! The Greatshapes Contour Kits includes three matte shades to contour the face for a sculpted look. The pressed-powder shades are easily blendable. I use this everyday to add some definition and shape to my face. My top tip: for an everyday look, brush a little bit of the matte brown shade over your eyes for a natural bronzed look.

Eyebrows –

I used to spend so much time perfecting my eyebrows, until now. With Jane Iredale, I use two simple products to create a natural looking eyebrow. The Retractable Brow Pencil in Brunette is my go-to. I use this to fill in any sparse areas and add definition to the structure of the eyebrows. Then, I brush some of the Eyebrow Gel through them just to set them in place. This really tames any hairs that don’t want to stay inline with the others. This is also tinted so can even out the colour of the natural brows. Using these products, I’m guaranteed brows that last all day long.

Lips –

This is a new FAVOURITE product of mine! I have recently tried out the new Beyond Matte Lip Stain. My everyday lip is in the shade Fascination. Now, let me tell you. I can wear this lip all day, no fading or smudging. EVEN UNDER A FACE MASK. I am obsessed. All shades are rich and long-wearing. They are formulated with plant-based oils that condition and protect for a chic, beyond matte look and powerful payoff. I love them.
