Intimate Waxing and Body Waxing

(i.e Underarm, Legs, Bikini, Hollywood, Brazilian)

WAXING ETIQUETTE

Please arrive for your treatment clean and fresh

HOW LONG DOES THE HAIR NEED TO BE?

Regardless of how you've been removing your hair, you should have at least 4 weeks growth from your last wax and 3 weeks growth from your last shave to get the best results.

If it’s too short, we may not be able to carry out your treatment and you’ll still need to pay for your appointment due to the booked out time. We’re here to get you results, and we also know that the growing process isn’t the most enjoyable! BUT to ensure results with waxing, it’s critical you leave the hair to grow, so please follow the time-frames stated above, and step away from the razor - your results are worth the wait!

HOW LONG WILL THE RESULTS LAST?

Everyone is different. In most cases, you will see minimal regrowth during the first 3 weeks, with a noticeable increase after that. If you usually shave, it can take between 2 and 4 wax consecutive wax appointments to get rid of prickly stubble, but after then you'll be feeling smooth and getting great results. Continuous waxing encourages slower, sparser regrowth but it's not permanent.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I BE WAXED?

If you're serious about maintaining that smooth feeling, we recommend that you come in every 4 to 6 weeks.  You may then find that the you will be able to leave longer gaps between your appointments.  The key to great results… leave the razor alone.

WHY GET WAXED?

Men and women from all professions and of all ages get waxed... more than you would ever dream of. The reasons range from not needing to worry about shaving at home, feeling cleaner, long lasting results and smoother skin for longer. Awesome for those wanting to be carefree regarding hair growth!

BUT I'M A LITTLE NERVOUS AS IT’S MY FIRST TIME…?

Please don’t worry, everyone has a first time experience and you’ll be in professional hands! We use exceptionally high quality wax along with high standard techniques. If you've never been waxed before or you haven't been waxed for months, then just trim what you can (with scissors or clippers) to roughly half an inch (12mm).

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Loose, comfortable clothes are the best. By using wax and apply soothing lotions and oil to protect your skin, although unlikely, they could stain your clothes, so please don't wear anything expensive or that you'd be devastated about staining. Clean, inexpensive, casual clothes are best for your comfort.

HOW CAN I MAKE IT MORE COMFORTABLE?

If you experience any discomfort, it’ll be for a few seconds. You can help yourself by trimming the hair before your appointment!  The fact is, the longer the hair is, the more it will feel uncomfortable.  If you've never been waxed before or you haven't been waxed for months, then just trim what you can (with scissors or clippers) to roughly half an inch (12mm). If you've been removing the hair yourself, you should wait a few weeks before you get waxed as you'll get a much better result.  FACT:  Shaved hair is much stronger and tougher to remove (meaning the first wax is always slightly more uncomfortable).

AFTERCARE

For 24 hrs after you've been waxed, avoid sun, deodorant, hot showers/baths, chlorinated pools, gym/exercise classes, solariums, spas and saunas as these will irritate the skin. Use the salon’s recommended ‘Ruff Stuff Nourishing Body Oil’ following your wax to calm, soothe and nourish the skin as well as the ‘Ruff Stuff Daily Scrub’ 2 days after your appointment and everyday thereafter. This specific scrub will really help to rid your skin of any ingrown hairs and keep it moisturized and nourished. Should you be pregnant we would recommend only using Aloe Vera Gel for calming and soothing effect post treatment.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERNCES BETWEEN THE BIKINI WAX OPTIONS?

  • Standard Bikini Line = all hair will be removed from outside of a standard knicker line.

  • Extended Bikini Line = all hair will be removed from outside and on the standard knicker line, including a small amount of hair removal from the pubic area, just below the top horizontal knicker line.

  • Brazilian = Intimate waxing. Hair removed from everywhere - sides, middle and bottom intimate region. ALL BAR a strip at the front (size and position of your choice.)

  • Hollywood = Intimate Waxing. All off. Hair removed from everywhere - front, sides, middle and bottom intimate region.

(Please note, we can tailor all treatments to not remove hair from specific areas, should you wish, however it’s very important to book in for the treatment best suited to your wants / needs. Intimate waxing - Brazilian and Hollywood) - can only be delivered by our therapists who are qualified to do so, it’s important you are booked in with the correct therapist to deliver the desired outcome.

PLEASE NOTE FOR HOLLYWOOD / BRAZILIAN WAXING

Confidentiality and professionalism is at the forefront of our business ethos. Your comfort is our utmost priority. If you're having Intimate Waxing (Hollywood or Brazilian) you’ll be asked to remove your clothes from the waist down. Modesty is important, and we will keep dignity high by covering you with tissue or a towel over the area not being worked on. We’re here to get you results, by keeping your underwear on is kind of like getting a hair cut with a hat on, however if you prefer to leave the underwear on, this is fine too! Please remember, we do this day in and day out, and we females are ALL the same. There really is nothing to feel uncomfortable about when you are in our company.

LVL Lash Lift

MASCARA? NO THANK YOU

Please avoid wearing mascara the whole day before your appointment.

We will carry out a cleanse over the eyelashes regardless, however waterproof mascara tends to leave residue on the lashes and if this is the case, your results may be effected - the best advice is to step away from the mascara on the day of your appointment.

IF YOU WEAR CONTACT LENSES

You’ll be requested to remove them before your treatment, so please bring your glasses along with you to put on after your treatment.

Please note: We are unable to treat anyone with an LVL Lash Lift who is pregnant or breastfeeding.

A Patch test is required prior to your treatment, please speak with us to find out when you require this.

Please read our Consultation Advice before booking / receiving an LVL Lash Lift to ensure no issues will be stumbled across during the consultation and prevent your treatment from going ahead. CLICK HERE

Spray Tan

HOME-CARE PREP PRIOR TO SPRAY TAN

A great spray tan includes some prep work! In an ideal world you should start exfoliating daily with the salon’s own exfoliating scrub, the Ruff Stuff Scrub, and moisturise daily on the lead up to your appointment.

THE DAY BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

Exfoliate and remove any unwanted hair the day before to give a good clean base.

ON THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT

We want to see you as natural as possible! Please do not exfoliate or apply moisturiser on the day of your appointment, just freshly shower and come and join us. Your skin will need to be free from moisturiser, perfume, deodorants & makeup. Cleansing with baby wipes before you join us can impact the outcome of the tan, so soap and water over the body in the shower, and nothing else is best.

WEAR LOOSE FITTING CLOTHES WHEN YOU JOIN US

Anything tightly fitted can impact the development of the tan, so loose fitting clothes are requested. Some tan may transfer onto your clothes during the development time… the chances of staining are low however we cannot make any promises, so choose your clothing wisely - Some old loungewear are a great option. To play it safe, avoid anything you would prefer not to get stained!
