5 Habits For Healthy Skin
At Pure Emporium we are always here with the advice that you need to achieve your skin goals. From products, to intense treatments, we’ve got everything you need to completely transform your skin.
BUT…
It’s not always down to us…
You need to make healthy and skin conscious choices when it comes to some of your lifestyle factors.
So… Here’s our 5 Top Tips when it comes to creating habits for Healthy Skin.
Habit 1 - Apply An SPF Daily
Rain or shine, you need to protect your skin from damaging UV rays. Every single day, throughout the year, your skin needs protecting. UV rays can cause harm to your skin and actually change the DNA in your cells. Your skin’s DNA is what tells your cells how to function. Once this becomes damaged, this is where you begin to see negative changes in your skin.
Make a change today, and make this a new habit. After moisturising, apply SPF to your skin. - DAILY!
Habit 2 - Get Your Beauty Sleep!
It is true what they say - we really do need our Beauty Sleep! Each night, you should aim for at least 7 hours of good sleep. As part of your skin’s repair process, your cells will produce more collagen whilst you sleep. We know that collagen is ESSENTIAL for healthy, youthful and radiant skin. So, ensuring that you are getting enough to sleep to allow your cells to do this is vital!
So, if you’re wanting skin that is more plump and less likely to wrinkle, ensure that you are having 7-9 hours of sleep every night!
Habit 3 - Spend Some Time To Relieve Stress
Stress is one of the main factors that can affect your skin. There are many different skin concerns that can appear due to stress. Oiliness, acne, psoriasis and eczema are just a few.
We know that we can’t just magic the stress away but… we encourage you to complete a few minutes of stress relieving exercises daily, to try and reduce the impact that stress may have on your skin.
Habit 4 - 5 Minutes in the Morning & 5 Minutes at Night
10 Minutes a day is all you need to complete a good skincare routine. 5 minutes in the morning and 5 minutes at night. You should be completing a full cleanse, tone and moisturise every morning and evening. This will keep your skin clean, and looking healthy and fresh. For additional skin concerns, that’s where you can begin to introduce serums and masks into your routine.

Habit 5: Make Healthy Food & Drink Choices
The food and drink you choose to consume can have a huge impact on your skin. You may have noticed after a period of eating high-sugared foods, or food with a high fat content, that your skin health decreases. You may notice more breakouts and your skin will generally look dull. Choose to nourish your skin and body with healthy and nutritious foods. Your skin demands vitamins and minerals to stay healthy.
When it comes to your water intake, this needs to increase too. Your skin thrives when it is hydrated, so ensuring that you are drinking 2L of water per day is essential if you’re looking for happy and healthy skin.
Here’s to achieving healthy and glowing skin together.
