Salon Policy for Beyond the 19th July!
The country is finally returning to pre-Covid times and you can officially enjoy more freedom and less rules!
You may have your own opinions on this, and we completely respect that. It’s important that you still do whatever you feel comfortable with.
Here you can familiarise yourself with our changes ahead of your appointment. Our main priority has and always will be keeping our clients and staff as safe as possible.
What does the announcement mean for the salon?
Well... not a lot, actually!
The team at Pure Emporium have collectively decided that we won't be changing much with our policy update following the new rules that come into play on July 19th.
We will still be wearing our PPE for the time being. For therapists and stylists during treatments and services this will be a face mask, visor, and gloves. For reception staff, it is a visor.
You might be thinking, but why would you if you don’t have to?
We offer close contact services where you can receive the treatments you love whilst enjoying our skills and expertise.
We were among the first businesses to close when the pandemic began and have been heavily affected by the forced closures. We don’t see the harm in extending our policies for a while longer so you can relax with complete peace of mind that we are still doing everything we can to keep you as safe as possible during your time with us.
One thing that we’re SUPER excited for is our open-door policy will be back! Woohoo! We’ve missed this so much! As of the 19th July, you can come and relax in reception ahead of your appointment - if you’d like to!
Here are some general questions and answers regarding the upcoming changes in restrictions that will come into play for the salon as of the 19th July 2021:
Do I still need to wear a mask when I come into the salon?
Yes. Although we appreciate the general rules surrounding face masks will be gone, our salon rule on this will remain the same. We want to keep everyone in the salon as safe as possible and this requires everyone to play their part. Face masks are still required inside the salon for the time being.
Will I still need to wear a mask during my appointment?
If we are not working on the face, then yes. If we are working on the face, your therapist will ask you to remove your face mask in the treatment room. In the hair salon, this will be at the stylist’s discretion.
Will I still have to wait outside before my appointment?
No! Feel free to come into the salon and join us for a chat and relax before your appointment. If you’d prefer to wait outside or in your car, that’s fine too, simply come in at your booked appointment time. Please don’t forget your face mask! We’ll have them available in reception should you forget one.
Can I come with someone to my appointment?
We still request that you come to your appointment alone unless you need care assistance. This will enable us to continue monitoring the footfall in and around the salon.
Will you be making any other changes?
We will be removing the Perspex screens on the nail bars.
It will also now be at the therapist's discretion to wear gloves during a massage treatment.
Apart from the points stated above, everything remains the same. All areas will still be disinfected and sanitised between treatments (this has always been a given!)
Please understand that our policies are our policies. We fully appreciate the government rules, and that every business may be doing things differently and we’re OK with that. We follow industry recommendations and do what we believe is best for the salon, clients and staff at all times. We kindly request that our policies are always respected and adhered to at all times.
*Salon rules and regulations will be under constant review.
We can’t wait to welcome you into the salon this Summer!
