How Does The Skin Analysis Machine Work?
The Observ Skin Analysis Machine works on patented skin fluorescence and polarised light illumination technology. This technology enhances the appearance of your skin conditions through images, allowing us to see what’s happening at deeper level, to ensure that we can target and treat your specific skin conditions and concerns correctly.
Typically, skin conditions and concerns start in the deeper layers of our skin. As the skin cells develop, they move up and onto the surface, the part we can see!
With the machine, we can see what’s happening, in a way that our naked eye wouldn’t be able to.
When we know the extent of what we’re trying to treat, the treatment plan to help you achieve your skin goals becomes much more straight forward.
At Pure Emporium, and with the Observ machine, we can recognise your skin condition or concerns, and guide you there onwards, every step of the way.
Different Image Modes
The Observ 520X allows us to view your skin with 8 different lighting modes.
Daylight - This mode shows your skin in a natural mode. The way that you would see it when looking in the mirror.
Surface - Highlighting any textural concerns and roughness. We can also see anti-ageing lines more clearly with this mode, as well as bumpy skin, dryness, acne, scarring and pore structure.
Cross Polarised - Taking away any surface shine to allow us to see vascular conditions.
Redness - This mode allows us to identify any hyper-sensitivity and irritation.
Parallel Polarisation - Here it will enhances the view of any textural skin concerns.
Pigmentation - The clue is in the name. This will highlight pigmentation or skin discolouration. Remember, we are not just looking at the skin’s surface, pigmentation starts years before it’s seen on the skin’s surface and can be helped much earlier on, so this light is incredible at identifying pigmentation before it’s visible.
True UV - This mode exposes any skin abnormalities on the skin’s surface and within the deeper layers.
Woods - This enhances our view of areas of dehydration or oily skin conditions.

During your consultation, we will discuss your personal goals, concerns and your current routine. In addition to this, we will look at your skin on a deeper level with the use of our Skin Analysis Machine to see the skin in all it’s glory.
